About the Event
We are pleased to invite our member, Dr. Nick TSE (謝家和博士), assistant professor, registered social worker and MINT certified trainer. Dr. Tse will share his expertise on “Apply Collective Motivational Interviewing to Address Gaming Problems” and also present a case sample to illustrate how collective MI strategies can benefit adolescents struggling with gaming problems (AGP).

When we encounter adolescents with gaming problems (AGP), we often face challenges such as their lack of insight, pressure from parents to attend counselling sessions, and the potential for criticism and blame to arise between AGP and their parents during sessions. It’s crucial to sharpen a productive dialogue between them. While individual MI for AGP may help gain insight and create ambivalence through MI-style practice, it might not be sufficient for optimizing their lifestyle, managing expectations, and rebuilding relationships with their parents.
